Architectural Walk: Beauty and Belonging in Budapest with Gabriele Aroni

Free
Join Dr. Gabriele Aroni, Senior Lecturer in Game Arts at the School of Digital Arts of Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), for an architectural walk exploring the principles of traditional architecture and urbanism through the lens of Roger Scruton’s thought and the built environment of Budapest.
Walking through the city centre, we will use the architecture around us to reflect on themes such as beauty, proportion, harmony, and the relationship between buildings and the public realm. Along the route, we will consider notable landmarks, including the Hungarian National Museum, while discussing how traditional architecture contributes to the identity and coherence of the city.
The walk will last approximately one hour and is open to anyone with an interest in architecture, cities, culture, or philosophy.
Date: 24 June 2026, 18:00–19:15
Meeting Point: Scruton V.P. (1053 Budapest, Veres Pálné Street 12.)
